Francine’s Crestone Music in Hammond, Indiana has been teaching students to play for over 75 years. Ms. Fran Trentacosti is the current owner of the business, which she took over in 2008. Fran began teaching piano in 1962 after studying with Lino Frigo. “I like to give students an opportunity to learn music and bring out their musical abilities, it’s rewarding to see them progress in their music careers”, she noted. A few years later she joined the Mr. A. Romba’s staff at Crestone in 1970.

After Mr. Romba passed, Fran took over the school. In addition to her duties at Crestone Fran is the music director at St. Anthony in Chicago and teaches at St. Stanislaus and the Hessville Bible School. She has always liked the saying “to teach is to touch a life forever.” Ms. Fran has definitely spread the joy of music to many in her years of instruction in both private piano lessons and by hosting a yearly recital for Crestone’s students.
