PRLog -- DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- Dr. Joseph T. Jacobsen, P.G., President of Pipersville, PA-based INTEX Environmental Group, Inc. has received notification that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board has approved his Licenced Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) licensing exam results, and that his permanent LSRP license is in effect. Dr. Jacobsen had been approved to be a Temporary LSRP in 2009, and sat for the Permanent LSRP licensing exam in September 2012. This positions Dr. Jacobsen as one only forty Pennsylvania environmental consultants to be approved as a Permanent LSRP under the NJDEP’s Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) -
As of May 7, 2012, with limited exceptions, all environmental remediation projects in New Jersey, without regard to when remediation was initiated, are to proceed under the supervision of a LSRP without NJDEP approval. The goal is to increase the pace of remediation, thus helping to decrease the threat of contamination to public health and safety and of the environment, and to quickly return underutilized properties to productive use.
