Feb. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- The Terranea Resort is buzzing with excitement, as stars of the e-bike world have gathered to showcase this hot trend in two-wheeled transportation. Hosted by the organizers of Interbike, the nation's largest annual bicycle trade show, the special media event, taking place February 12 and 13 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, offered some important e-biking updates. Top-ranked Pedego Electric Bikes garnered a lot of attention when they shared news on their latest innovation, the Trail Tracker.

Pedego received accolades as they unveiled the Trail Tracker, a heavy-duty off-road bike that can carry riders up mountain paths known to stop most riders on regular bikes. For the brave biker who seeks high adventure on mountain trails, this solid bike lives up to its adventurous name. With a rugged 48-volt, 600-watt silent motor, the Trail Tracker is made to leave others in the dust while conquering new paths, both on and off the road. Its 4-inch wide tires have aggressive knobby tread to hug the turf and carry the rider over rough terrain with confidence. Pedego Electric Bikes co-owner Terry Sherry is particularly proud of the Trail Tracker line. “On these bikes, the rider can be a true trailblazer,” he says. “Everyone who has tested the bike has fallen in love with it." Pedego’s Trail Tracker bicycle can be pedaled with relative ease over sand, dirt and other wild landscapes. It flies at a top speed of 20 mph, as required by Federal law to maintain its status as a bicycle … though riders may feel like they're on a jet while soaring past mountain vistas.

The Trail Tracker comes in red, matte black and black with lime green accents. Pedego dealers now have the Trail Tracker available for test rides.

Pedego also announced the opening of two new dealerships in the Los Angeles area. Pedego Greater Long Beach, located at 1065 Pacific Coast Highway, Seal Beach, at the corner of PCH and Main Street, is owned by Beth Black and Brian Ballard. Pedego Redondo Beach, located at 701 1/2 South Pacific Coast Hwy., Redondo Beach, near the corner of South PCH and Topaz Street, is owned by Kenny and Sue Kim. The opening of these two new dealerships marks another milestone in the remarkable growth of this energetic company. “We’re very pleased that so many people have been enjoying our electric bikes,” says CEO Don DiCostanzo. “Our new dealers are looking forward to sharing the fun with these communities.” Both dealerships can be found online and can arrange free test rides of several Pedego e-bike lines.
