With developed business cases and implementation of Clayton Power products in the customer specific application, we have made the transaction from lead-acid technology, which is both heavy and has a short lifetime, and combustion engines, which is polluting and expensive, much easier.” Using electricity for lower operational costs and CO2 emissions The lithium battery technology enables electrification of solutions that is traditionally powered by gensets and combustion engines “By replacing fossil fuels with electricity, we open a whole new world with lower operational costs and drastically reduced CO2 emissions” Janick Lauenborg states and continues: “We would like to use the new facilities to show what is possible with the lithium technology, and the clear advantages, of low weight, high energy, long lifetime and fast charging when seen in comparison to lead-acid technology.” Successful lithium battery implementation Clayton Power products have with success been implemented in several industries such as the automotive, maritime, military, and industrial industries for various applications. One example is rescue vehicles that benefit from the low weight, high reliability, long lifetime and fast charging that the Clayton Power lithium batteries gives them, as a German emergency doctor, Dr. Lührs, explains about the reliability of his rapid responder: “The normal (Lead-acid) batteries were flat after about 12 hours if the vehicle could not be connected to an external power source.
