Two Recent College Grads Launch Christian Non-profit to Change Lives Using Basketball

EPIC Youth launches first season of competitive youth travel basketball program to uplift the community and empower the Fox Valley youth to evolve in their faith, academics and athletics.
 
Jan. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Founded in 2012 by Justin Anthony and Josie Wallace, the Fox Valley based non-profit organization, EPIC Youth is raising the bar for over 70 school aged children by a unique incorporation of faith, leadership development, academic prep, service to others and basketball. An experienced coaching staff that genuinely cares about the youth, as both players and young adults, is the propelling conduit to achieve an epic vision.  EPIC’s vision is to empower the youth to grow spiritually, academically and athletically; thus converting their untapped potential into utilized greatness.

The tryouts for the EPIC 2013 basketball season will be held on Sunday February 24th and Sunday March 3rd, 2013 at Harvest Christian Academy on Randall Rd in Elgin, IL.  On both days, tryouts will be for boys in grades 4-10 from 3-7:30pm.  Grades 4th-6th will tryout from 3:00-4:30pm; grades 7th-8th will be from 4:30-6:00pm; and grades 9th-10th will be from 6:00-7:30pm.  Potential players are expected to attend both tryout dates to receive consideration.
