Three Square Market Opens Its First Sites

Three Square Market and Consolidated Food Management launch proprietary mini-market at multiple locations in the Pacific Northwest turning the boring break room into the center point of the work place.

Feb. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Hudson, WI, February 4, 2013:  Three Square Market announced that in addition to commissary services for detention facilities, they have expanded their market to provide services to corporate clientele for convenient and technology driven employee break rooms.  The newly expanded service is already scheduled to be offered at multiple locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Three Square Market, a subsidiary of TW Vending, a Hudson WI-based company, in partnership with Consolidated Food Management, a Seattle WA-based company, have launched the new self checkout mini-market in the Seattle area.  The new mini-markets, named Three Square Market, will open its’ doors in multiple locations in Washington, Idaho and Oregon over the next two months. The first of the locations is KING-TV, the Seattle NBC affiliate, in downtown Seattle.

Three Square Markets are mini-markets located in corporate settings where employees are able to have their own convenience store right in their work place.  Using proprietary software and kiosks developed by Three Square Market to facilitate self-checkout, locations will have fresh and convenience foods, a healthy food section, a take home meal section and much more.  The kiosk is a variation of TW Vending’s patented correction market kiosk and accepts all payments types, direct deposits and even allows customers to pay using a smart phone.  Three Square Market’s proprietary inventory management and security system monitors each market so that in event of loss, violators can be tracked through security cameras allowing employers to take any action, should they choose, for the loss of product.

Additionally, the self-checkout kiosk will be a hub for local services from companies such as dry cleaning, restaurant deals, movie tickets, and more.  Employers with as few as 100 employees can install a Three Square mini-market in as quick as a few weeks and each market has several design options available to them.  Kiosks, shelving, coolers and more can be customized in color and each market will have name-brand displays that will liven up the traditional break room.  Additionally, Three Square Markets can be installed throughout any location so in large warehouse, production or office settings, there are no localized restrictions to the employees – everyone can gain access to a Three Square Market and still minimize time away from tasks.

“Every aspect of business today is shaped by convenience, technology and multi-tasking.  The only piece that’s been missing is adding those to employee break-time, said Patrick McMullan, President of Three Square Market.  “We looked at the way that other businesses have evolved to offer more of those things – from self-check out at Wal-Mart to fast, healthy take home meals from multiple food producers – and we saw an area where the corporate world could make a big jump for their employees.  All companies have a vested interest in employee retention, and a big piece of that is found in the environment employees work in.  If the workplace is fun and provides some of the ‘extras’ employees have a higher satisfaction.  Three Square Market really is a natural fit to help workplaces move from sparse break areas with maybe a vending and pop machine towards an enjoyable location.”

Employees in Three Square Market locations will be also able to bag their dry cleaning, order flowers, grab a take home meal for home, and other services, with a few clicks on either the kiosk, the Three Square Market website, www.ThreeSquareMarket.com,  or using a smart phone app.  And in select markets, these applications will facilitate fresh food orders prepared by the chefs at Consolidated Food Management (CFM).

CFM brings over 40 years of food service management to this partnership.  In the Three Square Market settings, CFM will be converting many of their sites to this streamlined kiosk system to further enhance their product offerings and services.  CFM and their highly trained staff will continue to provide existing sites and new clients either food prepared right on site or fresh food items such as sandwiches and salads prepared at their headquarters and delivered fresh to each Three Square Market daily.
