Met Someone Cute? Don't Ask Their Star Sign Says Astrologer

There's no need for single women to ruin their chances: most couples don’t date or marry their ideal star sign, says astrologer.

Feb. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Australian astrologer Elizabeth Ball said women shouldn’t base their dating decisions on someone’s star sign.

“Single women often ask men they’ve just met, ‘What’s your star sign?’ as an ice-breaker, and then show obvious disappointment or wariness depending on the sign,” said Ms Ball.

“Most women don’t realise that few people marry their best star (Sun) sign and you could unwittingly turn off your date by assuming they're the wrong person for you,” she said.

“Only about 34 per cent of couples date someone with a Sun sign which is traditionally compatible with their own,” Ms Ball said.

“A survey of 688 couples found that 44 per cent of people dated someone whose sign was neutral in compatibility while 23 per cent have partners whose Sun sign is traditionally incompatible.”

“There is so much more to astrological compatibility than Sun signs.”

Ms Ball said the survey also found:

11 per cent of people date partners who have the same Sun sign
17 per cent of people date “ideal” partners whose birthday date falls four or eight months before their their own
Opposites don’t attract – only 7 percent have partners who celebrate birthdays six months away from their own
Of a possible 144 combinations, the three matches which occurred the most were Gemini-Aquarius, Taurus-Sagittarius, and Cancer-Scorpio

Ms Ball has been helping couples have fun understanding each other and improving their relationship with her luxury astrological compatibility reports since 2005.

“If you’ve just met someone you can still find out quite a lot about your potential relationship, in just 5 minutes with a LoveStars email report.”
