Feb. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Friday, February 8th, Marshall Barnes, R&D Eng, a leading figure in the area of advanced concept science and technology, will be making a brief but significant announcement concerning his warp drive technology, STDTS™, at the Ohio State University Technology Commercialization and Knowledge Transfer Center in Columbus, OH, for the monthly WakeUp StartUp event, a little more than a week before he launches a major nationwide tour promoting his Verdrehung Fan™ time machine prototype. The Ohio State University Technology Commercialization and Knowledge Transfer Center WakeUp StartUp was the scene of his official kick off campaign to win the race to build the world's first time machine from University of Connecticut's Ronald Mallett, PhD, an effort that has so far brought stunning success. December 19th and 20th, Marshall conducted experiments that confirmed that his Verdrehung Fan™ has reached the 1st stage requirement to be a time machine by warping the space around it, visible by the acceleration of the fan blades. The next stage is to determine how much power is needed to warp time.

The announcement about the warp drive comes after Marshall failed to do a demonstration event of the STDTS™ as planned, last year. However, the Verdrehung Fan™ uses the STDTS™ technology as its warping power, so by demonstrating that device he was simultaneously adding validity to the STDTS™ warping power. Friday's announcement, however is to focus on the STDTS™ as a warp drive prototype.

It is worth noting that the new Star Trek™ motion picture will be released this year. The last time that happened, Marshall made international news when he announced that he would be giving a lecture on the STDTS™ with video experiments at the MarCon science fiction convention http://www.charged.co.za/2009/05/23/warp-drive-to-be-disc... .
