Don Bosco and 3Di Join Forces in Itanagar

Feb. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- 3Di is proud to announce the launch of its Schools Programme at Don Bosco Youth Centre in Itanagar, made possible through the leadership of Fr Cyriac, Director of Don Bosco Youth Centre Itanagar (Arunachal). Don Bosco Youth Services (DBYS) was established in 1992 which was later renamed as Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services (DBYES) in 2000. The Itanagar Centre’s activities are led by Father Cyriac and are wide ranging including:

·         A school for children ages 5 years to 14 years, free of charge

·         The child telephone helpline for children in distress

·         Skills-training programmes for girls, in beautician skills, leading to their employment in top rated salons

3Di will be providing training to students from grades 1 to 12 in digital media and creativity, while also developing communication, leadership, teamwork and project management skills within an artist framework. Says Mr Craig Hansen, 3Di’s Academic Director, “Father Cyriac has contributed to the lives of many young people over many years, with passion and commitment. We are delighted to launch 3Di in the Don Bosco Youth Centre and support Father Cyriac’s great leadership. He has provided a strong platform for the children of the region to stand on; we feel 3Di is joining something already successful, with many Don Bosco graduates cheering us on, as it says in Hebrews chapter 12.”
