SNLA Charity Jam Raises $2500 for Horses4Heroes

Feb. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- The Southern Nevada Lacrosse Association (SNLA) donated $2500 to Las Vegas-based Horses4Heroes, the proceeds from its annual Charity Jam, held Saturday, Feb. 2.  Horses4Heroes, a non-profit organization, uses horses to support local military families, First Responders, at-risk youth and others in the community.

The Southern Nevada Lacrosse Association (SNLA) is organized and maintained to promote, grow, shepherd, govern, and protect the sport of Lacrosse at the youth, middle school, and high school levels, throughout Southern Nevada.  As the torchbearer of the great game of lacrosse, this association is and shall remain committed to the growth and development of the sport, providing affordable opportunities for organized play, providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere, and fostering civic character, fairness, honor, pride, respect, and sportsmanship in all who participate.

Horses4Heroes is one of the most successful equestrian support groups for veterans and military families.  Since 2006, Horses4Heroes has introduced more than 5,000 servicemen and women to horses and horseback riding, simply because of their sacrifice and service to our country.  Las Vegas-based Horses4Heroes is a non-profit organization that serves all active duty military personnel, veterans, First Responders and their families.  The organization's growing national network of more than 200 equestrian facilities in 44 states plus Canada provide affordable (sometimes free) recreational, instructional and health & wellness programs for all ages, all riding levels and all disciplines.   These programs emphasize fun and safe activities with horses, mounted and un-mounted for all ages. Participants learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills, make new friends, and develop a lifelong love of horses.
