Central City Tower Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Spider Stories, an African Animated Series

Independent animation studio, Central City Tower (The Tower), begins its Kickstarter campaign to fund an 11-mintue pilot episode for the fantasy adventure series, Spider Stories. In contrast to the traditional European and Asian fantasy fiction, Spider Stories seeks to be one of the first action cartoons inspired by African cultures. With deep mythology, this story will to offer a thrilling, immersive experience, with a unique cultural perspective.

Spider Stories follows the tale of Princess Zahara who is thrown into hiding after the royal family is overthrown by a corrupt neighboring kingdom. While traveling with a misfit caravan of merchants she meets a wandering drummer griot who introduces her to the spirit world. Armed with a mystical staff, the fearless princess embarks on quest to reconnect with the spirits, reunite her homeland, and reclaim the throne.

Interested backers can visit Kickstarter.com (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1727465155/spider-sto...) to support the project. Central City Tower has a goal of $25,000 and set deadline for March 31, 2013.
