22nd Batch of MICA's CCC(Crafting Creative Communications) Programme Graduates

March 5, 2013 - PRLog -- The function started with Prof. Subhash Tendle introducing the students and was followed by the presentation of the work done by them during their tenure. Director and President Prof. Nagesh Rao delivered the valedictory address where he spoke about the relevance of the unique course and how it provides a lot of value for the MICA brand overall.

The convocation ceremony was graced by reputed film director, editor, writer and producer Mr. Anirban Dhar, better known as ‘Anir’ as the chief guest. Mr. Dhar has acclaimed movies like ‘My Brother Nikhil’, ‘Bas Ek Pal’ and ‘Sorry Bhai’ to his credit. Born in Bhutan, he did his graduation from Jadavpur University in Kolkata and did his advanced film studies in Berlin.  He has dedicated his life to creating good cinema.

In his keynote address, Mr. Dhar spoke about the importance of marketing and promoting a movie in this current age. He stressed on the fact that sometimes that can be more important than the movie itself. Having people in the industry who understand each aspect of movie making is very heartening, he added. He also emphasized on the role of emotions in whatever we do and how that is an essential ingredient of success.
