St. Cloud woman celebrates 100th birthday March 13

March 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Rose (Uselman) Ament celebrates her 100th birthday March 13, 2013.

She grew up in Wadena and married Tony Ament in 1937. They settled in St. Cloud and raised their children Yvonne, Bob, Gary and Mary. Rose and Tony will celebrate their 76th wedding anniversary in April.

Rose shared her easy-going personality and desire to help others while volunteering at the St. Cloud Hospital and Tri Cap. She played an active role in founding and nurturing several community groups and served meals at the Salvation Army well into her 90s. Rose and Tony were inducted into the Salvation Army Volunteer Hall of Fame in 2007. They are charter members of Holy Spirit Parish.

Rose has dedicated her life to family and volunteering. She has been honored for her service by the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, the Eagles Lady Auxiliary, the Daughters of Isabella, the Crosier Apostolate Criten Mothers and the Salvation Army.

An open house will be held from 2 to 4 PM, Saturday, April 20, at Coyote Moon Grille, 480 55th Ave SE, Saint Cloud. No cards have been sent.
