New York Fashion Experience Coming to Ambler

March 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Featuring a red carpet, velvet ropes, champagne reception, exclusive gift bags, and shutter-snapping paparazzi, Frox will bring the New York runway experience to the Ambler Theater next month with a  spectacular Spring Fashion Show.

“This is very exciting,” said Jill Strickland, owner of the women’s clothing boutique at 28 N. Main Street in Ambler. “Everyone who attends will get a real taste of what it is like during Fashion Week in New York.”

Scheduled for April 4, the fashion show will feature 20 models, ages 17 to 70, showing off the season’s hottest fashions while they stroll the catwalk. Strickland said it will be a “fabulous celebration” that proves size and shape do not have to preclude women from looking great in the right clothes.

To create awareness of the event, Strickland and her staff designed an eye-catching storefront display that reflects the show’s theme. Featuring dozens of dripping paint sticks and paint cans as artistic elements, the window evokes the ‘70s pop art look embodied by Andy Warhol and the feeling that fashion can be found in the joy of his art that is the essence of spring.

Strickland opened her first first Frox store in Perkasie in 2003. Since then, she has helped hundreds of women look good and feel great in easy-fit, mix-and-match, and work-to-weekend with just a few pieces by helping them make the right choices when it comes to clothing and accessories. Strickland shares with her clients more than 20 years experience as an apparel manufacturer rep. All Frox customers receive personalized service that meets their individual needs and creates a unique, memorable shopping experience.

Last fall, Strickland decided to expand her reach and, after a lengthy search for the right spot, settled in downtown Ambler, drawn by the borough’s quaint charm and vibrant business climate. She’s looking forward to bringing the fashion show experience to Ambler.

“Our new customers have been amazing,” said Strickland. “They could not have been more welcoming.”

The evening will start at 7 p.m. with a champagne reception for early arrivals. After the audience is seated, models will strut the catwalk, showing off the season’s hottest jackets, tops, jeans, dresses and jewelry for spring.

Attendance is limited to the first 250 people. Tickets are $45 each and can be used as a 10-percent off Shopping Pass the entire weekend after the show.
