By: Jan's Paperbacks Confirmed authors include: T.J. Brown (Historical Fiction), Maggie Jaimeson (Women’s Romantic Fiction & Romantic Suspense), Lars D.H. Hedbor (YA Historical Fiction), Jenna Bayley-Burke (Contemporary Romance), Bryan Lee Gregory (Fantasy), Anna Brentwood (Romantic Suspense), Brad Cameron (YA Fantasy) and Tonya Macalino (Paranormal Thriller). Independently owned and operated, Jan’s Paperbacks has been a staple in the Aloha community for 32 years. In that time, the store has remained largely untouched. The original shelving and layout had served the store well, but were ready for an update to keep up with the changing needs of the customers and literary trends. To achieve this goal, the store recently undertook the task of a complete store remodel. The remodel included new paint for a crisp, clean and bright look along with a redesigned layout and new/rebuilt shelving. The new layout was achieved with repurposed shelving, purchased from an out of business bookstore, along with rebuilding 64 of the existing shelves into 18 new square bookshelves on wheels. The work was completed at night while the store was closed and finished within two weeks. The new shelving and layout will allow for greater flexibility in hosting events at the store including book signings, readings, book groups, etc. More Grand Re-Opening Party details, along with book excerpts can be found at https://www.janspaperbacks.com/ Jan’s Paperbacks is an independently owned bookstore specializing in selling and trading paperback books in-store as well as selling new and eBooks through their online store http://www.JansPaperbacks.com.
