Saltwater Grill Leads a Food Tour of Ireland

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - March 10, 2013 - PRLog -- (Swansboro, North Carolina) Starting Monday, March 11 through Saturday, March 16, 2013, Saltwater Grill, located in downtown Swansboro, will be featuring an Irish cuisine that brought the land of Ireland back into the culinary art world.

Chef Owens, who is Irish born, will be featuring Ms. Darina Allen’s extraordinary vision and culinary talents the week of St. Patrick’s Day. Chef Owens will feature the legacy of Ms. Allen’s gifts including her instinct and ability to give her the Irish version name of Julia Child.

Just like Julia Child she attended school during a time when women were not necessarily accepted in the cooking realm. She was timeless and introduced a progressive approach to the art of cooking. Her culinary expertise is used frequently in main stream America with regard to the ‘Farm to Fork’.

Chef Owens, the infamous chef of Saltwater Grill, will be featuring Ms. Allen’s artistic work, and his love for the culinary arts related to his homeland. One of his favorite recipes will be featured for the night of celebration.

Here is a short preview of Chef Owens cuisine for St. Patrick’s Day Week:
Potted Crab:
1 ¼ cup crab
8 Tbs Butter Roomtemp
2 tsp parsley
Fresh Lemon Juice
Salt/Pepper to taste
Pack and chill it
Serve with toast points

About Chef Owens

Chef Owens was born in the land of the Irish. He came to the United States for his second tour over a year ago. He brings to Saltwater his fluency in seven languages, his education in French cuisine and more than 23 different country cuisines. You could say he knows the luck of the Irish being married to another chef who is of Russian descent. Rumor has it he has never prepared the same meal for his wife since the day of their marriage. They have been married for 7 years! Now that is luck!!
