On Friday March 8, children from aged three to 13 helped to serve a Mother’s Day tea after school in the new dining room and then presented their mums and grandmas with posies of flowers. 30 mums and 6 grandmas attended the event, with 40 children. Mum of Isabella, Tina Davis, said: “It was a lovely afternoon and such a treat to be served tea by all of the children. The flowers were a lovely touch and it was a special Mother’s Day.” One of the children, Vivienne said: “My mum looks after me, so I enjoyed looking after her for a nice change. Spoiling my mum, along with my friends, was great fun.” Headmaster of Polwhele House, Alex McCullough, enjoyed the afternoon saying: “All of the children were fantastic and the mums and grandmas had a wonderful time.
