APRIL PERFORMERS

Bruce Gilbert

As a multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer, Bruce Gilbert is a seasoned professional who never met a style of music he couldn’t bring a little something extra to. His songs are filled with happily unexpected musical twists and range from poignant, elegant love (and lost love) songs to the cool sophistication of a hipster out on the town in a new pork pie hat. No matter what the style, Gilbert connects with listeners through beautiful melodies and sincere vocals that make you believe every word he sings. He’s a jazzer with the heart of a poet.
Bruce encourages you to listen to samples of songs from his new CD at http://brucegilbertmusic.com/music-cds/ or on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EN4ZG12z9mY

Tortoise and Hair Tortoise and Hair is Adrienne and Dustin Cottrell. They’re a husband and wife team, which have been making music for more than 10 years. They perform frequently throughout the Southeast, and are quickly becoming known as a talented up-and-coming acoustic folk-duo. Both Adrienne and Dustin have eclectic musical backgrounds including musical theatre, jazz combos, bar bands, and church praise teams. However, they found their deepest passion working together and collaborating as songwriters. Tortoise and Hair’s music, which includes a mix of covers and originals, is fun, witty, eclectic, and insightful. A close listen to their original songs will reveal a healthy sense of humor alongside a fundamentally serious attitude toward life. http://www.tortoiseandhair.com/
