Treat one in India with Sweets on Holi 2013

 
KOLKATA, India - March 19, 2013 - PRLog -- With Spring, comes the festival of color called Holi. The festival of Holi is celebrated all around India with a lot of pomp and grandeur. In this festival, people in different parts of India throw colored powders or colored waters on others and make fun. Holi is celebrated in the month of Phalgun on a full moon day.

The entire country wears a festive look during this season. Markets are loaded with colored powder, commonly known as “gulal”. Different types of color fill the roadside shops. Children along with their parents’ start to shop “Pichkaris” and balloons etc which helps to sprinkle colors over others on Holi. Different types of Pichkaris like air guns, water guns are available in the market.

On the day of Holi, people gather together and start spraying colors on each other. Some people arrange Holi parties at their homes, where all their near ones are invited and they play Holi together. There are arrangements of different refreshments like Thandai and a wide variety of sweets.
