West Indies Resident Wins 2013 ACCESS Scholarship From Ashworth College

NORCROSS, Ga. - March 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Ashworth College (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu), a leading accredited online school, has selected Bernadette Marchan from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, W.I. as a recipient of the 2013 ACCESS Scholarship.

The Ashworth College Continuing Education for Student Success (ACCESS) Scholarship program, developed by Ashworth, awards up to $25,000 each year to recently enrolled and prospective diploma and degree students interested in pursuing their education online in one of Ashworth College’s 115+ diploma, degree and online certificate programs.

After her children were grown, Marchan decided it was time she continued her own education to advance her career working in a furniture gallery. To help her reach her goals, she decided to enroll in Interior Decorating Classes from Ashworth College.

“I am confident with the proper guidance and tuition I can be successful and my passion for interior design will continue to grow. With this in mind, I also hope to continue studying with advanced courses in the interior design field and this diploma would be an excellent introduction for me,” Marchan said.

The accredited Interior Decorating classes give students the skills to create a furniture plan, work with suppliers, draw a floor plan and more. These, plus other lessons, are designed to give students the knowledge needed to start a successful career.

Founded in 2011, the Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship program offers scholarships with a combined value of up to $25,000.

The ACCESS program honors the legacy of the online school’s late Chairman of the Board, Gary Keisling, whose personal and professional mission was to offer affordable and accessible education to underserved populations who historically have had limited access to educational opportunities or an accredited diploma or degree.
