March 20, 2013 - PRLog -- In a cooperation between Serenergy and Clayton Power, named mobile-hybrid-power.com, we present the new green generator with a built-in fuel cell, lithium ion battery and inverter/charger at the German fair, Hannover Messe 2013. With the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), we seek to create a mobile power solution that can replace traditional fossil fueled industrial generator solutions, by reducing costs and emission levels significantly through a hybrid solution.

By combining the lithium ion battery and fuel cell technology we get the best from both worlds and create a system with high energy efficiency and low fuel costs. Further more the hybrid constellation enables the system to have a very long operational time. In the case that the user should empty the battery pack, the fuel cell will a while before start up and charge the batteries.

This means that the maximum capacity of the fuel cell will be utilized while charging the battery pack, and when the battery pack is fully charged the fuel cell turns off, with no fuel used in having the fuel cell running idle, which is very often a huge cost when it comes to existing generator solutions. Additionally we contribute to a better and healthier working environment, with low noise and zero harmful particles emitted.

The green Auxiliary Power Unit is also able to charge the lithium ion battery from other power sources than the fuel cell, by connecting it to mains or an alternator, where the vehicles surplus energy will be used for charging. This makes the hybrid power solution very flexible and has obviously benefits for the automotive and military market.
