Follow on Google News | Hooters Challenges Fort Myers Community to Help Raise $120,000 for The Salvation ArmyHooters of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach and Cape Coral will match the community’s donations, dollar-for-dollar up to $40,000, in an effort to reach this goal by June 17, 2013.
By: Hooters of South Florida “We are fully entrenched in this effort, with involvement through donations at the restaurants, events and through community activation,” • Hooters will donate $1 from every kid’s meal sold from March 18th through June 17th to the program, and match the funds raised. In addition, the company will host various fundraising events and invites the Lee County community to help support the cause. · • March 21st Rodeo Kick Off Party at the Hooters of Fort Myers on Cleveland Ave. from 4 PM – 7 PM with Face Painting, Western wear costume contest and Pony Rides for the kids. 100% of the day’s sales of kid’s meals go toward funding the challenge · • Hooters Girls will volunteer and serve food at The Salvation Army’s, Sally’s Café, during the week of March 18th · • Hooters locations will be collecting donations at the restaurants · • A collection truck will be taking food and clothing donations and will rotate between three Southwest Florida Hooters locations · • Hooters Girls will be at the Baseball Spring Training games to bring awareness and take donations · • Proceeds from Hooters Swimsuit Contest on April 6th at the Hooters of Fort Myers on Cleveland Ave. to help fund the challenge · •May 18th - Hooters will host a golf tournament, interested players may sign up at area Hooters location “The Salvation Army is deeply grateful for the compassion in action that the good people of Hooters are showing.
