Waifs & Strays Family Fun Day – Saturday 25th May

HAILSHAM, U.K. - April 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Sue Phillips - formerly owner of Seaford Dog Rescue - has teamed up with Liam and Niall Hastings - professional dog trainers at AlphaGuardK9 - to form Waifs & Strays Dog Rescue, a non-profit organisation to re-habilitate and re-home stray and abandoned dogs in and around Seaford, East Sussex. With the help of local volunteers, behaviourists and a vet, Waifs & Strays provide shelter, training and ongoing support for the dogs while they await a new 'Forever Home'. To help raise much needed funds for the organisation, Waifs & Strays are holding their fourth Family Fun Day in Seaford on Saturday 25th May 2013. Open from 10am to 2pm at Downs Leisure Centre, the events and activities will include a dog show, pony rides, face painting and a bouncy castle as well as a demonstration by the AlphaGuardK9 trainers and their dogs.

Raffle prizes have been kindly donated by local businesses including training sessions by Naturally Pets and a one day care session donated by Pet Set Go. The dog show offers many sponsored categories for you to enter your dog at £1  a time, including "Waggiest Tail" and "Dog the judge would most like to take home".

A wide range of stalls at the event include doggy treats, doggy fashion, Seaford boxercise and Animal Extravaganza  and are sure to delight the most discerning dog and his human companion.  A few stalls are still available for a fee of just £20. Entry and parking are free and refreshments will be on sale in the café and beer tent which will also serve as a shelter from the sun or any showers.
