Follow on Google News | Escapist Artist Presents Portrait to President George H.W. BushEscapism Founder John Ross Palmer orchestrated a meeting of 2013 Escapist Lee E. Wright with President George H.W. Bush for the purpose of a presentation of an original piece of artwork.
By: John Palmer Art Palmer proudly made the introduction of Wright to President Bush after previously creating art pieces for both Former Bush Presidents in conjunction with his massive 2011 commission art series, Faces. Wright was thrilled, almost beyond words, to meet the American hero and one of his personal idols. The painting he created for President Bush, A Man to Admire, features a young Bush in his aviator uniform. Wright explains, "I chose both the name and to paint President George H.W. Bush due to the fact that as a young kid he was potentially risking his life to serve our country and that is a valiant thing to do and admirable beyond words." Palmer gushed of Wright's talent and confidence. "Lee hit an absolute homerun with his stunning artwork, professional presentation and heartfelt words when meeting the living legend." President Bush said with enthusiasm that he was so happy he would be able to enjoy the painting personally before it was installed in his Presidential Library. The John Ross Palmer Escapist Mentorship Program, now in its fifth year, has had applicants from around the globe and is continuing its grassroots effort to forever destroy the stereotype of the struggling artist.
