Sam Milby, Jhong Hilario, Jake Cuenca and JM de Guzman portray overseas Filipinos with life struggles in the sub-titled version of the longest-running series

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - March 27, 2013 - PRLog -- The Filipino Channel (TFC) essays the real-life journey of letter-senders from the ends of the world in this month’s MMK Classics.  From the United States of America (U.S.A.), Europe to Asia, TFC stitches together the stories of overseas Filipinos (OFs) in the sub-titled version of the longest-running drama this April.

On April 6, singer-heartthrob Sam Milby portrays Dave, a man who discovers that his father has another family in the U.S.A.  He tries to live with his father and half-brother in the hope of finding a second home.  Unfortunately the search is not without set-backs.  In this episode dubbed Letters, actor Miguel Vera who is actually based in the U.S.A., joins Sam.

On April 13, another matinee idol, Jake Cuenca delivers a breakthrough performance as Spain-based Louie who admits to being a transgender and tries to win the acceptance of his father.  Join Jake and his father portrayed by Ricky Davao in their journey through self-discovery, love and forgiveness in this episode dubbed Susi (Key).  Joining them in this episode is Vivian Velez.

On April 20, comedian-dancer Jhong Hilario shares a different side as he takes on the role of Rex Reynaldo Ferrer, one of the casualties of the coordinated train bombings in Madrid on March 11, 2004 where 200 people were killed and 1,600 were injured.  In the episode dubbed Tren (Train), Jhong touches the hearts of viewers as a Pinoy who reluctantly migrates to Spain upon the prodding of his family.  The family’s decision creates conflict between him and especially his mother Anita played by Cherry Pie Picache.  The tragedy brings the family together, but only too late in life.  Portraying his father and sister respectively are Noni Buencamino and Denise Laurel.

Finally on April 27, JM Guzman dabbles in what he does best – drama – in the episode entitled Pasaporte (Passport) about OF Jay who tries to prove himself to his grandfather by working abroad.  After reaping success initially in Macau, he is forced to come home, much to the disappointment of his grandfather.  Determined to prove himself once more, Jay accepts a job in Beijing, only to find out along the way that he was to be used as drug mule.

Accompany Dave, Louie, Rex and Jay in their journey through life on MMK Classics every Saturday (Sunday, Pacific time) on TFC and on-demand, online at www.tfc.tv
