Dallas  – On Tuesday April 9, 2013, Adams® Extract & Spice will be presenting the American Diabetes Association – North Texas (Dallas) Chapter with a $1,250 charitable donation.

Adams® Extract & Spice has committed $15,000 to the American Diabetes Association. To help raise awareness, each month, a check for $1,250.00 will be presented to a different American Diabetes Association Chapter in the State of Texas.

Recent studies are showing the average American is consuming more than the daily recommended amounts of calories, salts, and sugars, most of these coming from fast, processed and prepared foods, and a leading contributor to health related diseases. Adams® believes going home to cook fresh foods, properly prepared and seasoned, is half the battle in the fight to control and eliminate these diseases such as diabetes.

Texans are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as thousands of people suffer from the disease, and many others may have diabetes and not know it! It is estimated that one out of every three children born after 2000 in the United States will be directly affected by diabetes. That is why the American Diabetes Association's North Texas office is so committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease.
