Follow on Google News | The 2013 Brooklyn Book Festival Will Be Joined By Author Gregory L HudsonNew York Author Gregory L Hudson will be among the authors from around the country at this year's Brooklyn Book Festival, in Brooklyn, New York.
According to organizers, "The Brooklyn Book Festival is the largest free literary event in New York City, presenting an array of national and international literary stars and emerging authors. One of America’s premier book festivals, this hip, smart diverse gathering attracts thousands of book lovers of all ages to enjoy authors and the festival’s lively literary marketplace." "I lived in Brooklyn, Bedford Stuyvesant, for many years before opting to settle down in Queens, New York. Lots of fun memories of Brooklyn. I recieved my BA in theatre and my MFA in Performing Arts Management from Brooklyn College. Most of my closet friends don't know this or the fact that I ever lived in Brooklyn. Many of my old friends know me as a playwright, not as an author. It will be pretty exciting to be a part of this festival. I'm sure that I will see some people that I haven't seen for 20 years. It's also good to do some festivals at or close to home. Sometimes the traveling around the country can be a bit exhausting." Last year (2012) the festival had more that 280 authors and 104 panels confirmed. Not only is this festival "free", but organizers proudly say that "The Brooklyn Book Festival is the largest free literary event in New York City, presenting an array of national and international literary stars and emerging authors. One of America’s premier book festivals, this hip, smart diverse gathering attracts thousands of book lovers of all ages to enjoy authors and the festival’s lively literary marketplace." "So save this date! While you are enjoying this fantastic event, free to stop by my author's table. If you can't see me there, I'll also be appearing at the "2013 Harlem Book Fair" on Saturday, July 20, 2013, in Harlem, New York from 11am to 6pm." http://www.qbr.com/ End
