PrimeTime Amusements and Prop Creations Build Statue of Liberty for WWE’s WrestleMania Set

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - April 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Prop Creations (http://www.propcreations.com/), the theming division of PrimeTime Amusements (http://www.primetimeamusements.com/), a global operator, seller and event renter of video arcade machines and simulators, was the creator of the now famous Statue of Liberty from last night’s WWE WrestleMania. When WrestleMania 29 opened at MetLife Stadium, fans were shocked with the elaborate and impressive New York and New Jersey themed set – complete with a 67-foot Lady Liberty.

PrimeTime Amusements and Prop Creations was commissioned by set designer Jason Robinson for the project months ago, which may now be considered the most remarkably crafted grand stage in WrestleMania history. The miniature State of Liberty, which is 0.42 the scale, was the centerpiece and weighed in at 17,500 pounds. It was illuminated by thousands of moving lights, more than 5 million LEDs and the flash of 6,000 pieces of pyrotechnics.

Prop Creations was responsible for the replicating the Statue of Liberty and carving her out of foam in the company’s Ft. Lauderdale headquarters. The statue was both hand carved by Prop Creations sculptors and cut using the company’s CNC 3-D Cutting Machine. The Statue of Liberty was created in sections before being cut into pieces and shipped to the northeast. Robinson’s team then handled coating the statue and putting it together, before finishing it with the lights.

Robinson said: “To me, my first inspiration was the Brooklyn Bridge. And the Statue of Liberty is it. It’s the centerpiece for us.”
