Barcoding, Inc. and Rutherford Implement Route Accounting System for Crescent Crown Distributing

BALTIMORE - April 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Barcoding, Inc., a leader in enterprise-wide mobility solutions, and partner Rutherford & Associates, Inc. (http://www.eostar.com/), announce the implementation of a new route accounting system for Crescent Crown Distributing, LLC, a nationally recognized distributor of the world’s finest beverages. The solution, coupling Rutherford’s eoStar® route accounting software package with mobile hardware and lifecycle management from Barcoding, will help the distributor achieve new efficiencies in its everyday delivery, warehouse, and sales operations. The solution went live in October 2012 at the Louisiana location, and will go live in July in Arizona.

In need of a more intuitive, point-and-click route accounting solution, Crescent Crown turned to Rutherford, whose route accounting software package, eoStar, integrates mobile device platforms with sales, distribution, warehouse and office operations, creating a true Business Management Solution. For hardware procurement and configuration, as well as ongoing service and support throughout the products’ lifecycles, Rutherford sought Barcoding’s expertise. Together, Rutherford and Barcoding created a custom solution that would encourage end-user participation, simplify reporting, and allow for frequent system enhancements.  

With the new solution, each facet of Crescent Crown expects to obtain new operational efficiencies:

• Delivery: On the delivery side, with the eoStar delivery application installed on Motorola MC75 Handhelds, Crescent Crown’s drivers can finalize and print invoices with correct quantity/pricing information, collect payments, and instantaneously capture signatures.

• Warehouse: With eoStar’s warehouse application, warehouse personnel can better manage inventory, print pallet tags, receive purchases and transfers, and create adjustments such as write-offs and repacks via Motorola MC9190 handhelds. Using Vocollect hardware, orders can be picked using voice commands.

• Sales: Using Panasonic Toughbook Tablets running eoStar’s presales application, Crescent Crown’s sales team can integrate order entry with surveys, goals, objectives, POS management and detailed sales, accounts receivable, and inventory level information. Plus, using iPads or iPhones, merchandisers can count inventory at a store by location, record the movement of the product to restock the shelves, and seamlessly transmit the inventory information to the salesperson for the account.

• Management & Office Personnel: Finally, Crescent Crown’s office personnel can use eoStar to manage day-to-day operations (such as forecasting and ordering), while the management team has access to fully integrated reporting tools for additional business insights.
