Excellent Attendance at the Joint BBCC and German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Event

EGHAM, U.K. - April 12, 2013 - PRLog -- The event that was organised at the end of March by the British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and was held at the Zig Zag Brasserie at the Radisson Blu Grand Hotel located in the heart of Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital. All attendees had the opportunity to participate in an open discussion and exchange views and experience during the networking part of the evening.

The welcoming messages were given by the British Ambassador and the Head of the Economic Department at the German Embassy, who opened the event and then gave the floor to the other speakers:  Alexander Daw, Managing Partner of Stephen George International; Ramon Harps, General Manager of RAP Systems Bulgaria; Horst Stüer, PhD, General Manager of B.Braun Medical Bulgaria and Mike Morrison, CEO of ISG Technology.

Over 100 people attended the event, meeting with other foreign business owners that were looking to create or move an office to Bulgaria, thus building a broader network with fellow companies and understanding what could attract more companies to Bulgaria. Mike Morrison shared a variety of benefits of outsourcing in Bulgaria:

•   Bulgaria is a member state of the EU
•   It is close to the UK
•   Technically good IT skills
•   Westernised cultures
•   Well educated and skilled people
•   Many large international companies are established in Bulgaria, which is a proof that outsourcing in Bulgaria is a successful practice.

According to recent statistics by the Bulgarian National Bank, macroeconomic indicators show consistent pre-crisis economic growth and quick post-crisis recovery. The location of Bulgaria is not to be overlooked, as it makes access to other markets easy. Being a member of the EU and NATO, having a stable currency, a low budget deficit and government debt and the low cost of many investment related expenses make Bulgaria an attractive spot for outsourcing investments(Invest in Bulgaria Agency- March 2013).
