US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a patent for Apple Inc. that relates to their future iWallet in respect to shopping and shopping lists. And you have Hi Tech Wallet too named iWallet!
By: iWallet Corp But a quick search at the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office revealed that such mark belongs to Steven Cabouli, a successful businessman based out of San Diego, creator of a high tech biometric cash and credit card wallet called “iWallet". His trademark extends from wallets, luggage to software as well. A further search was done online and we came across the website www.iwalletusa.com which shows his creation and the benefits of owning one of these high tech “iWallet”. It will get interesting to see the repercussions of this trademark once Apple decides to launch this interphase to the market and if and when they will use this mark for their software. We checked the Apple Appstore and Android’s Playstore and we found that the app is called “iwallet alert” which connects the iWallet to your phone via Bluetooth and an alarm will ring ”in case you either forget your cell phone or they steal your iWallet once both devices are separated by more than 10-20ft from each other” according to the iWallet’s website. We contacted iWallet Corporation, headquartered in San Diego CA and they claim that they will go legally after everyone using their trademark without their expressed written consent. Could this be a case of David going after Goliath? Stay tuned. http://www.iwalletusa.com - Hi Tech Hard Case Cash & Credit Card Wallet End
