PASAY CITY, Philippines - April 18, 2013 - PRLog -- The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export marketing arm of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), leads 18 top Philippine manufacturers to the 28th Hong Kong Houseware Fair which will be held on 20-23 April 2013 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

CITEM, through the Hong Kong Houseware Fair, brings Philippine companies into one of the biggest trade events for houseware in Asia. It is the perfect setting to showcase only the best in Philippine furniture and furnishings, holiday and gifts, and fashion complements. The Philippine participation seeks to surpass the previous year’s export sales of USD5.1 million.

Philippine made products have made quite an impression in the international market because of its innovative designs and exceptional craftsmanship that embody the unique Filipino identity. A gold mine of creativity and artistry, the Filipino craftsman’s design principle revolves around the use of abundant indigenous materials and contemporary design sensibilities that blend quality and practicality.
Carrying the brand Home Philippines, which represents only the best in houseware products, the Philippine participation promotes the country’s high-level of craftsmanship and artisanship.

Inc., Legacy Renove Inc., Manila Welcome Industrial Corp., Native Crafts & Arts Ind. Inc., Nature’s Legacy Eximport Inc., Obra Nicolas Handicraft, Panay Accessories Corp., Redfern Arts and Crafts, Rodima Marketing Corp., Siloworks Inc., and Sunwood Export are the participating Philippine companies that will embody and promote the Home Philippines brand to the Hong Kong Houseware Fair.

Intricately designed products made from indigenous materials such as bamboo, rattan, natural fibers, shells, and wood mixed with industrial materials will be exhibited at the show. The best-sellers at the participation in 2012 were wooden trays, multi-purpose decorative containers, decorative jars and vases, decorative accessories made of fine bone China, candle holders, and beautiful lanterns.
