Bear Creek's Fiddler on the Roof Opens to a Sellout Crowd

REDMOND, Wash. - April 19, 2013 - PRLog -- (Redmond, WA) – The Bear Creek School Fine and Performing Arts Department's preview night of Fiddler on the Roof opened Thursday to a standing ovation and sold out crowd. The cast, chorus, and orchestra of nearly 90 students wowed the audience with their music, song, and theatrical drama as they played out this classic tale of faith, family, and tradition.

The bottle dancers earned scores of applause as the four adept actors balanced wine bottles on their hats while performing a traditional celebration dance for the on-looking, cheering crowd.  Lead actor, Connor Thomas, a senior, was masterful in his presentation of father, Tevye; his booming voice and unmistakable presence brought the character to life on stage.  And, of course, the fiddler on the roof dazzled everyone with his musical talents throughout the show.

Notable as well was the stellar choreography of such a large group of actors on the stage at one time.  Custom set designs, built and painted by Director Ron Lynch and his wife, Artistic and Creative Director Patti Lynch, provided whimsical color and style to the stage including Mrs. Lynch's Marc Chagall-inspired "stained glass" window panels brimming with Jewish symbolism and scenes from the story.

Filled with music, song, dance, laughter, and a few tears, this rendition of Fiddler on the Roof has something special for whole family.
