Follow on Google News | Biz Week Seminars Feature Web Success With Martin BrossmanAs part of Macon County’s Biz Week sponsored by the Macon County Economic Development Commission in Franklin, business coach and Social Media expert Martin Brossman will start the Tuesday, April 23 program with "Social Media In Business,” from 9 am to 12 pm at SCC’s Macon Campus in the Groves Center Board Room, 44 Siler Farm Rd, Franklin, NC 28734. This is a must attend seminar for those looking to update their Web marketing skills to supercharge their online presence. Attendees will learn how to put their business on the map using free internet directories and social media applications. Commenting on Biz Week, Martin Brossman said, “It’s a real honor to be part of such a valuable county-wide event of businesses working together to build their skills and let the world know what they have to offer. When we develop a dynamic and active Buy Local program on the ground and we match it with building excitement on the Web, it not only gets people excited about their own community, it attracts people from outside the area to come and spend money in the community. This contributes to real grass roots economic growth from the ground up.” In the afternoon segment of the April 23 Biz Week event, Martin Brossman is scheduled to present “Create Your Own Website & Blog Using WordPress” from 2 to 5 pm at the Macon Campus Groves Center Board Room. This seminar gives information and hands-on instruction showing how to create a working website and blog that you can maintain yourself. “WordPress gives a strong competitive advantage over sites that cost many times more,” Brossman said. “It allows a business to control their own website, and the cost of having a WordPress site is generally less than $100.a year.” On the morning of Wednesday, April 24, from 9am to 12 pm, “Create Your Own Website & Blog Using WordPress” will be presented in Bryson City at SCC’s Swain Center, 60 Almond School Road, Bryson City, NC 28713. Martin Brossman teaches at Small Business Centers and Chamber of Commerce venues across North Carolina.
