CAPE TOWN, South Africa - April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- With the ever growing need for more educational lecture series and engagement of Ulema with the public comes this weekends Graduates Acknowledgement ceremony by the World Association of Al Azhar Graduates – Cape Town, announced by it’s Media Ambassador Faizal Sayed.  

According to Sayed, the program starts at 15:00 on Saturday the 27th April 2013 at the Bontehuewel Masjid in Cape Town and members of the public are welcome to attend an afternoon filled with Qira’ah by popular reciters, lectures by prominent Ulema amongst others. Some of the items on the program include presentations by newly elected MJC first deputy President Sheikh Riad Fataar, Sheikh Ebrahim Moos and a talk on the role of women in the Muslim community. This event in essence seeks to honour the latest Al Azhar Graduates.

According to Sheikh Ebrahim Moos, an Al Azhar Graduate and active member of the association, the key focus of the association is to mobilize affiliated scholars in promoting the unified vision of the Al-Azhar University and to spread Islam with tolerance, compassion, and collaboration in affiliation with the mother body of the Al-Azhar in Cairo, Egypt.
