Follow on Google News | Historic Salem, Inc. to host 69th Annual Meeting with speaker Anthony FlintHistoric Salem, Inc. will hold its 69th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 5:30 p.m. at the Salem Five Community Room, located at 210 Essex Street in historic Salem, Massachusetts.

Mr. Flint is a former reporter for The Boston Globe, a Loeb Fellow, visiting scholar at Harvard University School of Design, and policy adviser for the Massachusetts state government. He has written extensively on topics relating to the built environment— Historic Salem’s Preservation Awards are granted annually to businesses, organizations, and private homeowners who have demonstrated a passion for historic preservation in Salem. Nominees are submitted by members of the community and may include private residences, commercial properties, publicly or non-profit owned properties and landscape projects. Past recipients may be found at www.historicsalem.org Historic Salem, Inc. members are invited to meet the new board members and enjoy this special lecture as a thank you for support. The event is open to the public and all are invited to attend and learn about HSI and its initiatives. Historic Salem’s mission is to ensure that the historic resources of Salem, Massachusetts, which are the key to its identity, its quality of life, and its economic vitality, are preserved for future generations and that new development complements the historic character of the city. The meeting agenda includes a reception, with light refreshments, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The business meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Preservation Awards presentation and lecture.
