He revealed interesting facts behind his decision of signing for the movie. He stated that he did the movie for his young sons, who have a deep obsession for zombies. Pitt even told the reporters with a smile that "Four years ago I knew nothing about zombies but now I consider myself an expert" clearly mentioning his son’s obsession. He continued further and said “This whole thing started because I just wanted to do a film that my boys could see before they turned 18 – one that they would like, anyways. And they love a zombie. So we settled on Max Brooks' book called World War Z." Pitt continued to talk and pointed out that "We were faced with two Herculean challenges: How do we keep the global, spectacular, dynamic scope of the book and how do we originate a genre that's been done quite often and really, really well? What you're about to see is our answer to those two questions." As the movie is all set to hit the screens on 21st June, Pitt seems all excited about it. “We got a little carried away. I think you are going to like this as much as my boys are going to,” says Pitt. World War Z is essentially an apocalyptic horror movie as it shows Pitt fighting against zombies which are trying to take over the world.
