Jacqueline Lawson - Hot and Mobile to Provide Technology Workshops for the City of Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - May 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Under the leadership of the City of Portland, Bureau of Internal Services' Chief Procurement Officer, Christine Moody, several outreach programs have been created with opportunities to meet the needs of Minority Women Emerging Small Businesses (MWESB) in and around the Portland, Oregon area. Jacqueline Lawson, an African American Expert, Speaker and Consultant for Hot and Mobile Technology for Out and About, is proud to announce her partnership with the City of Portland (COP) to provide social media networking workshops.

Ms. Tiffani Penson serves as the Program Coordinator for the city's Minority Evaluator Program. Ms. Penson has been instrumental in working with Ms. Lawson to coordinate the ongoing workshops. Other divisions attending the training include: Financial Services and Human Resources. These workshops will assist all in working together to create smart solutions for the City of Portland, and the communities to which the city serves.

Internet marketing and social media networking is crucial for disseminating information in order to reach target audiences: Minority Women Emerging Small Businesses; COP internal and external customers; and, those seeking COP Financial Services and Human Resources information. "The goal is to share contracting, employment and city participation opportunities with our communities, and increase the overall level of awareness of the Office of Management and Finance using the city's website and social networks," stated Ms. Penson.
