President of ERC™ Group LLC Attends SupplySide MarketPlace IN NYC

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - May 7, 2013 - PRLog -- At the Global Expo & Conference held on April 30th through May 2nd at The Jacob Javits Center in New York City, Dr. Guarino had many favorable things to say about the conference and the exhibitors.  “I was not only impressed with the speakers, who were truly thought leaders,” said Guarino, “but also with the innovations put forth by many of the exhibitors.”  Whether attendees were interested in ingredients for healthcare products or plastic containers and packaging, he felt that the show covered more ingredient categories than ever.  Dr. Guarino was particularly interested in promoting ERC™ Group as the only certifier of plastics in the world in order for the public to be able to know for sure that there are no animal byproducts in the plastic they use.  Today, most plastic food containers and plastic food packaging “leaches” animal stearates into food.  This is of particular concern to Kosher, Halal and Vegan groups who have no way of knowing whether they are ingesting animal byproducts from their pre-certified foodstuffs.  

Overall, there was a positive reaction by many exhibitors to the news that ERC™ will soon be launching the certification program that Dr. Guarino believes “will make the world a better place.”
