CARY, N.C. - May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- The International Society of Diversity and Inclusion Professionals, the first global comprehensive association spanning all sectors and industries, added an exciting new signature program to its extensive range of benefits and resources dedicated to the diversity and inclusion profession. Diversity and Inclusion Showcase is an ongoing series of professional development events this fall.

These showcases will highlight what companies and organizations are doing related to diversity and inclusion initiatives. These professional development events will provide training and networking opportunities for diversity and inclusion professionals from public and private sectors. Participants will learn best practices from thought-leaders at exciting regional locations and corporate headquarters. The initial lineup of Diversity and Inclusion Showcase Hosts includes: Boehringer Ingelheim, L’Oréal USA, Ingersoll Rand, Sony Pictures Entertainment, United Way Worldwide, and U.S. Tennis Association. Other regional hosts will be announced soon.

“We are extremely honored to be selected as part of the ISDIP Diversity and Inclusion Showcase program. At Sony Pictures Entertainment, our commitment to creating an environment of inclusion is not limited to our company but also extends to the industry as a whole. We continue to strive for diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our business and to create content that is relevant and appropriate for our diverse audience globally,” says Paul Martin, Senior Vice President of Global Recruitment & Inclusion at Sony Pictures Entertainment.

“ISDIP has developed a showcase that educates and engages diversity professionals on topics relevant to our specific business needs.  We are excited that L’Oréal USA will be hosting the premier event and we look forward to an engaging dialogue among the participants,” says Angela E. Guy, Senior Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion at L’Oréal USA.

Objectives of Diversity and Inclusion Showcase are to:

Showcase diversity and inclusion initiatives of host companies and organizations;
Allow companies and organizations to share best practices within the diversity and inclusion field;
Provide exciting regional venues for professional development, networking, and building collaborations among attendees; and
Increase competencies of diversity and inclusion practitioners.

Showcases, held at the headquarters of our host companies, will highlight different themes and will offer an inside look at the diversity and inclusion journeys of major corporations and public sector organizations. Each showcase will be unique and provide a variety of opportunities to learn best practices, network, and build collaborations with peers. Some showcases will offer tours of host headquarters, tickets to major sporting events, access to C-level executives, and other exciting surprises.

“The initial lineup of host companies and organizations is impressive. Each host immediately understood the concept of Diversity and Inclusion Showcase. The fact that they immediately came on board further emphasizes their vision and thought-leadership in our field,” says the International Society of Diversity and Inclusion Professionals Founder and CEO, Cassandra D. Caldwell, Ph.D. “We are so honored and grateful to our hosts for opening their doors and sharing their innovative initiatives with our members.”

Registration for each Diversity and Inclusion Showcase is very limited, and early registration is encouraged. Registration will open May 15, 2013.
