Cicero’s 2013 India’s liveliest and the biggest Inter-School Carnival

NEW DELHI - May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- IIPM presented the latest edition of India’s biggest and liveliest school festival, Cicero’s Carnival 2013. Cicero’s Carnival represents a unique idea of integration and empowerment of youth in a competitive and highly dynamic environment. It marries an intellect with fun. The competitions at Cicero ranged from a debate competition to a treasure hunt, personality contest to Choreography. IIPM New Delhi hosted the event at the IIPM International Campus, Chattarpur, on the 8th & 9th of May 2013.

Prelude to Cicero’s Carnival was conducted in over 50 schools in the Delhi-NCR region. Cicero packs a versatile range of competitive events where 2500 students from over 50 schools tested themselves against the very best from other prestigious schools. Some of the schools that visited IIPM New Delhi were Modern School Barakhamba, Amity International School Gurgaon, DPS, Salwan Public School, Mont Fort School, New Green Field Saket, Manav Rachna School Gurgaon etc.

Cicero’s flagship event was Cicero’s Challenge- Debate Competition. Every year Cicero’s Challenge draws the brightest young minds across India for an intellectually rich round of debating. This time the debate revolved around “We as a society believe in adjusting & compromising, not speaking up”. The first prize for the debate winner was a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- while the runner-up and second runner-up won Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 25,000/- respectively. Some of the other competitions that were held were collage making, creative writing, t-shirt painting, dumb charades, personality contest, Ad-Mad (ad making) and the ever famous treasure hunt. All the events promise exciting prizes to the winners.

Cicero’s one of the most interesting and intellectual event is Ad Mad competition. The competition’s aim is to get the creative marketer out from the young blood and future of the country. Wherein contestants have to create a alternative logo for “FULL TIME” and also the radio jingle for “FULL TIME”. This year the crown of the best marketer was grabbed by the students from Salwan Public School Gurgaon who showcased a commercial on “FULL TIME”. The 1st runner up & 2nd Runner Up position went to DPS R K Puram.

On the whole Cicero’s Challenge 2013 was a dazzling and spectacular event; an ideal climax before the students sign off for the summer vacations.
