(New York, New York) - On Thursday May 16th at a private location in New York for special invited guests, Hard Candy Magazine will reveal its premiere cover releasing in June with Linebacker Alvin Bowen as the cover and featured model. Bowen currently a free agent for the NFL and newly signed to the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders was chosen by Hard Candy founder Mocca who said "I knew that he would be perfect for the launch of HCM because he embodies all of the elements that Hard Candy Magazine stands for, he set the bar for this issue and when it is released people are going to see an entirely different side of him; he is a natural and more than just an athlete". Alvin no stranger to the camera, is looking forward to adding more to his modeling resume; stating "Next to football, modeling is something that I enjoy it allows me to step out of my comfort zone, I welcome the opportunity to do more shoots and eventually runway shows but I'm definitely looking forward to getting back into the league as well". Bowen will begin playing for the 60th season of modern Canadian Professional Football late June.
