Southeast Queens Host Committee to Welcome Comptroller John Liu

QUEENS, N.Y. - May 13, 2013 - PRLog -- The Southeast Queens Host Committee will welcome New York City mayoral candidate and current Comptroller John Liu to a community reception on Monday, May 20 at 7:30 PM.  This event will take place at the Law Offices of Jacques Leandre at 232-06A Merrick Boulevard in Laurelton, Queens.  It will give Comptroller Liu the opportunity to address the community and lay out his plans should he be elected mayor.  The community, in turn, will be able to provide the candidate with feedback, ask him questions, and direct his attention to issues it considers important.

This will be the second in a series of receptions for New York City mayoral candidates.  Similar events for Public Advocate and Queens Borough President candidates are also being planned.  While the Southeast Queens Host Committee does not endorse any particular candidate, it believes each candidate’s message should be heard.

The press is encouraged to attend and document the event.  Members of the Southeast Queens Host Committee will be available for interviews at their discretion.

The Southeast Queens Host Committee was organized to alert candidates and elected officials to the community's needs, and give them an opportunity to address these needs, via candidate forums.  The committee consists of a diverse group of people from the community and is not affiliated with any political party or organization.
