National Women’s Business Organization Will Release Findings Following Summit With Top Female Executives

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - May 14, 2013 - PRLog -- The Moxie Exchange Movement, a national women’s leadership organization where business and the coolest women you know collide, will conduct a analysis on the status of female leadership in business, specifically what it will take to change the face of leadership in business to gender parity. The information will be culled during the group’s inaugural summit with its elite board of advisors and the findings will be released shortly thereafter.

A select group of female executives will gather behind closed doors to openly discuss the challenges women face in corporate leadership. They will not only share inside knowledge as to how and why this divide continues to exist, but share best practice solutions that cross industry boundaries so that this challenge can be surmounted by major corporations joining forces

Moxie will host the “Summit on Women, Leadership and Corporate America” on May 20 at Colorado State University’s School of Business. Participating in this groundbreaking meeting will be the ten women that comprise Moxie’s board of advisors. This group of change agents will engage in provocative conversation and a rich dialogue as they advise Moxie on its growth path and discuss what it will take to change the face of leadership in business to gender parity. They will be focused on covering diverse perspectives, sharing best ideas and practices, encouraging breakthrough thinking and building meaningful relationships that cross industry boundaries. The insightful findings that result will be released in a report that will help guide the future of women in leadership.

“We are gathering a brilliant and powerful group of women during this summit,” said Maureen Berkner Boyt, Head Moxie and founder of The Moxie Exchange Movement. “The ideas and insights that will be shared have the potential to change the status of women in business, and we eagerly anticipate the positive chain of events this will undoubtedly ignite.”

The summit and report come at a critical time. While conversations surrounding women in leadership positions is at an all-time high there is a key component missing: the actual roadmap for growth to give both these women and Corporate America. Everyone is talking about where women and companies should be at this point in time yet never before has the blueprint for how to arrive at this important juncture been provided. The Moxie board of advisors will finally provide the “how” behind getting more women into the c-suite, bringing us one step closer to achieving gender parity in business.

Moxie’s board of advisors will meet twice annually in May and November.
