Follow on Google News | American Conference on Diversity Greater Bergen Chapter Announces a New Youth Leadership Award!NJ Educators: Help Identify Potential Award Recipients by Nominating Outstanding High-School Students in Passaic & Bergen Counties
"The Greater Bergen Chapter is excited to begin this new tradition of honoring the work that our youth carry out in their communities, and it is our hope that this award will further bring awareness to the youth of the Greater Bergen county area of the important work of the American Conference of Diversity," says Chapter Chair S. Craig Mourton, Assistant Provost for Fairleigh Dickinson University, Metropolitan Campus. Students selected to receive the Youth Leadership Award will be honored at the Greater Bergen Chapter’s Humanitarian Awards Breakfast in October. Nominations are due by June 21 and can be submitted online by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/ Nominees will be evaluated based on a commitment to: ►Follow the American Conference on Diversity mission to value diversity, educate and empower leaders, and promote respect ►Provide leadership, community, or public service or to support organizations or institutions that improve the quality of life for other students ►Serve as an “upstander” ►Work actively to break down barriers ►Promote harmony, unity, multiculturalism, acceptance, and social justice Note: No more than three students can be nominated per school.
