Taghreed Almahmeed, M.D. (http://harperbmi.org/default/dr-a) has recently signed on to work with the company and specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures and laparoscopic bariatric procedures. Almahmeed earned her medical degree from the Arabian Gulf University College of Medicine in Bahrain. Upon completion of her program, she completed her surgical residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She also completed her research fellowship in surgical oncology in New York, N.Y. at the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Almahmeed completed her laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla., and also completed her advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery fellowship in Detroit, Mich., at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. She is bilingual with the ability to speak to patients in both Arabic and English. Almahmeed joins a staff of well-trained medical doctors including Michael H.
