The EPA requires that property managers, landlords, general contractors and remodeling contractors of all types—including plumbers, electricians, painters, window installers, and even wood floor refinishers—carry this certification if disturbing lead-based coatings (including lead paint, stain, shellac, varnish, etc.) in any home or child-occupied building (school, daycare, etc.) built before 1978. This Lead Safe Renovator - Initial class is 100% approved by Wisconsin's Department of Health Services.

All students who hold the Dwelling Contractor Qualifier license can receive eight hours of continuing education credits for attending the course. The cost of the course is $230.
