SGS Extends Its Testing & Certification Program for Photovoltaic Modules

May 17, 2013 - PRLog -- SGS has an extensive experience in third-party testing and certification of PV modules in accordance with internationally recognized standards, such as IEC 61701, IEC 62804, IEC 62716 or even to SGS’s own set of testing requirements.

Along with its already existing service portfolio of corrosion tests, including testing for salt mist and corrosive gasses, SGS Germany is now offering three new types of independent qualification tests to support PV modules’ product bankability.  

The new testing marks offered are:

·       Long Term Durability Tested – Covering the investigation of the long term reliability of PV modules with the help of various types of weathering tests and extreme climate simulations.

·       Sand Resistant – PV modules qualification for various types of deserts and other extreme climates.

·       PID Resistant – Testing of PV modules for potential-induced degradation.
