McCarthy Building Companies Hires Robert Elliott as Project Director in Houston

May 22, 2013 - PRLog -- McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. recently hired Robert Elliott as its project director for commercial projects in the firm’s Houston office. In this role, Elliott will oversee project teams to coordinate and integrate estimating, scheduling, value analysis, construction planning and project implementation. He also will attend key project team meetings during construction and supervise on-site project staff.

With nearly 23 years of experience in the construction industry, Elliot has spent the majority of his career working to develop strong team relationships on complex Houston projects. In total, he has participated in more than $1 billion of completed construction projects in Texas and Louisiana. Prior to joining McCarthy, Elliott served as a vice president and project executive at JE Dunn Construction Company.

Actively involved in the community, Elliott volunteers his time and resources to a number of charities including the Houston chapter of Rebuilding Together, Yellowstone Academy and the United Way. Elliott earned his bachelor’s degree in construction science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He is an alumnus of Leadership Houston Class XXVII, holds a 30-hour certification from Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and holds a building construction license for the State of Louisiana He currently lives near The Woodlands, just north of Houston.
