By: Beyond Coastal The Environmental Working Group analyzed over 738 sunscreens currently on the market and gave each a score between 0-10, with “0” being the best possible. (There were no “0”s given.) Based on EWG criteria, sunscreens with a score of 0 to 2 are “Recommended.” Of the 413 mineral and non-mineral sunscreen products included in the EWG report, Beyond Coastal products dominated the list of top rated formuals with only two other brands making the cut. Of those, only Beyond Coastal’s five lip balms received top ratings.
